If you feel led to start at anytime, then so be it. Romans 8:1-2
If you work on a Saturday but you would still like to play your part,
speak to your heavenly Father and be led by Him.
Who should get involved in this global outreach?
We hope that every Christian in each city
will be part of the community outreach in their own local authority.
But it would also be nice if you are able to do more than one and participate in the outpouring that will take place in neighbouring boroughs on the dates and in the locations above. Luke 12:48 B
University student’s mission’s week
February and March are critical months of the year and we want you to know that we are here to support you in the work that you do on campus and beyond and that we support you in prayer.
Working independently Vs Working in partnership
Working independently is attractive because it does not require us to change anything. And indeed, this is not a problem if you have been fruitful and you are perfect.
If this is the case please, continue to do what you have always done.
For the rest of us, let us see what the Holy Scripture offers us in guidance on this matter of working in partnership.
Luke 5:1-9 (New King James. NKJ):
“So it was, as the multitude pressed about Him to hear the word of God, that He stood by the Lake of Gennesaret, and saw two boats standing by the lake; but the fishermen had gone from them and were washing their nets.
Then He got into one of the boats, which was Simon’s, and asked him to put out a little from the land.
And He sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat.
When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon,
“Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.”
But Simon answered and said to Him,
“Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing;
nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.”
And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish,
and their net was breaking.
So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them.
And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink.
When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying,
“Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord!”
For he and all who were with him were astonished at the catch of fish which they had taken;”
Ideally, each person on the face of the planet should receive one personal invitation from Our Lord via a Christian, rather than some receiving several invitations, while a neighbour receives none.
Let us work as fellow partners for a short time and where ever the opportunity presents itself be a blessing to our communities. Genesis 22:18.
Each Church or Christian organisation could send a representative;
perhaps their evangelist, to meet their peer’s at the most central or accessible Church in a municipal/ local authority, to agree who will take responsibility for which streets.
Revelation 3:14-17.The last 3 years Vs The next 3 years?
If you have not taken part in a single evangelistic outreach in the last 3 years and you are not sure whether to attend any in the next 3 years can I share an inspiring incident with you:
One morning many years ago, I was sitting on a packed London underground train, on my way to work when I saw a man who, I later realised was deaf and dumb, take out a note pad and begin to draw a cross and he showed it to the man sitting next to him. The man continued to watch as the person with special needs used the senses that he still commanded to obey the leading of the Holy Spirit and preach the gospel without a word.
Corporate & individual priorities
During the last 12 months what percentage of your corporate budget was spent on evangelism?
Is the Church fully persuaded that this was the right amount?
Moving forward into 2016 and beyond, will those who make these decisions prayerfully review this matter if the amount spent in the last 12 months was not quite right? In addition to this, consider whether evangelical training programs could be better integrated into the life of the Church where a congration as a whole do not feel adequately prepared to preach the good news. Other activities could be encouraged, such a quiz events in the run up to an outreach where the Church is divided into teams to compete to answer questions set in partnership with the evangelist.
The outreach dates are opportunities to work in unity to fulfil the “great commission” but these should be seen as a catalyst for a corporate and individual cultural shift, where we more readily make ourselves available to the Holy Spirit to use us in our daily lives to preach the kingdom of God; where this has not previously been the case. The greater harvest will be found in what we do in the other 360 days of the year. Matthew 18:11-13
Other evangelical initiatives
We are seeking to compliment the good work that has already started and where the opportunity allows, build on these foundations. The focus should always be: Let God alone be glorified.
Health and safety & legalities
Whether you choose to go out two by two, door to door, or speak one on one to those passing by in the street, consider having a tray of treats such as wrapped sweets. With the additional hygiene risks, please be careful if you decide to offer hot chocolate, tea or water, cut fruits or cake. Avoid nuts etc. In everything you do please assess any potential risks and stay safe. As usual please observe all laws and by-laws. Familiarise yourself with local customs. Seek parental consent where required and be sensitive to local issues etc. Where one of you ministers to the sick or oppressed, please ensure that the other provides a safety net. Never confront any aggression, but walk away, for you have been called to peace. Colossians 3:15

You may want to take a bottle of water and some mints, a pen and note pad too.
What next?
This work should be repeated in 2017 but more cities will be added; and then in 2018, all the remaining cities in every country should participate. Like Jesus Christ, let us reach out for the next three years, before we rest in 2019. Only to come together in the centre of every city throughout the world on Good Friday at 2 pm 2019 for a thanks giving service and free concert. Isaiah 43:5-11 & 21. Televisions and other visual display units could be erected where permission is granted so that we can share in the celebrations with other nations periodically throughout the day worldwide. Numbers 14:21

If you are at a leader’s meeting with other leaders, please consider sharing the vision, especially with those outside of the United Kingdom.

Finally, can we ask you to begin to pray for this work. Thank you. John 14:12-14
